My Story
I was a kid who grew up on the streets, with nothing but determination in my spirit and a soccer ball at my feet. Life gave me hardship instead of comfort, but I refused to be defined by struggle. From those early days, I believed that soccer was more than a game—it was a weapon against despair, a bridge to opportunity, and a tool to change lives.
In Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, I began with nothing but vision and heart. I trained and coached young players who had no resources, no equipment, only raw talent and a dream. Together, we turned dust fields into training grounds and impossible odds into victories. I organized matches that brought together the nation’s top leaders, business elites, and government officials, proving that soccer has the power to unite society at every level.
But my journey was not without sacrifice. As a migrant from Ethiopia, I carried the pain of leaving my homeland and the weight of countless challenges. Still, I never gave up. In Uganda, I planted seeds of hope by shaping new players, teaching them discipline and pride. In South Africa, I built pathways for youth to rise to the international stage, turning young dreamers into recognized athletes. Every step of the way, I fought through struggle to create opportunity for others.
My path stretched across continents, even through South America, where I faced trials that tested my resolve. Yet every hardship only sharpened my purpose. Finally, I reached the United States—not to rest, but to continue my mission. Today, I coach and train kids from Ethiopian, Eritrean, and Other communities, while opening doors for every child willing to chase their dream. I speak not only to teach soccer but to build leaders, to strengthen families, and to show that resilience and faith can carry anyone to greatness.
My story is proof that no matter where you begin—even on the roughest streets—you can rise, you can lead, and you can inspire. This journey is bigger than me. It is a legacy of hope, a call to the young generation: with courage, hard work, and belief, your dream can take you anywhere in the world.
